Samuel E. Vaughn, LCSW is an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a strong background in forensic mental health, child advocacy, and program management. Currently serving as the Program Director of the Child Advocacy Center at BestSelf Behavioral Health, he oversees operations and clinical oversight of an OMH certified child/adolescent clinic and a NCA member Child Advocacy Center. Sam manages a diverse team of professionals and provides case consultation on child and adolescent mental health, family therapy, and abuse.
With previous roles as a DBT Therapist, Adjunct Professor, Therapist and Staff Supervisor, Program Supervisor, Forensic AMH Therapist, and Supervising Counselor, Sam has consistently demonstrated his commitment to providing comprehensive clinical services, leading teams, and delivering high-quality mental health care.
Sam holds a BA in Sociology and an MSW, magna cum laude, from the University at Buffalo School of Social Work. He is a certified DBT therapist and is licensed as a Master Social Worker and Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York.
In recognition of his achievements, Sam has received awards such as the Buffalo Business First WNY 30 Under 30 and the Field Educator Special Recognition Award from the University at Buffalo. With a passion for helping others and a wealth of experience in the field, Sam continues to make a significant impact in the mental health community.
